The Institute of Dark Materialism exists to develop the concepts, practices, and forms of inquiry adequate to a world that exceeds our capacity to master it. We work at the threshold where philosophy, technics, and encounter converge—where the real announces itself as something that does not scale to human categories.
This is not a project of despair or negation. It is a project of fidelity—to what resists explanation without becoming mysticism, to what demands rigor without permitting closure.
The institute is in its early stages. Work is underway.
